Heat transfer as we know has many various interesting applications in our day to day lives. Not only in the room where you are sitting now but on the laptop or cell phone on which you are reading this article has the various application of heat transfer.
Now let us look at some of the applications of heat transfer –
Heat Exchangers
Heat exchangers are used more often to dissipate heat. Heat Exchangers are more commonly used in refrigerators, air conditioners, space heating. The car radiators in which hot coolant fluid is cooled by the flow of air over the radiator’s surface is also an application.
Electrical energy
smart meter is a device to record electric consumption in our households is an example of heat transfer

Laser cooling
Laser cooling is a phenomenon to achieve a temperature of nearly absolute zero of the atomic and molecular samples to observe unique quantum effects such effect of entropy in various systems.
Cooling techniques
Cooling by the method of adding water vapours to the surrounding air . The energy needed to evaporate the water is from the air in the form of sensible heat and then converted to latent heat. For example, a Cooler used in houses in summers
Thermal reservoir
Thermal energy storage includes technologies for storing energy. Thermal reservoir is to maintain the temperature above or below the surrounding temperature .example of this is domestic or space heating.
Magnetic cooling
It is the process the lowering the temperature of the atoms, magnetic refrigeration lower the temperature below 0.3 K.
Night vision cameras
The night vision cameras capture the thermal radiation emitted from the bodies and locate the hidden persons in case of a surgical strike.
