Senior level Mechanical Engineer with a minimum of 15 years of work experience in machine design to lead projects and provide engineering design support across Barry-Wehmiller divisions. Experience in Industrial Equipment and Machineries such as Packaging, Converting, Textile and Paper machineries and discrete product machineries.
Technical skills:

Engineering basics: Engineering Mechanics, Strength of Materials, Statics, Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance.
Metals: Material properties and selection, Min. Max. of conventional and un-conventional Manufacturing process.
Industries specific Experience:Discrete Machines / SPM / Machine Tool / Autoamtion: Material Handling, Conveyor systems, Bulk Material handling
Hydraulic & Pnematic experience
Industrial products
Electro-Mechanical products
Should have worked on at least couple of engineering projects from start to finish (Scope, Specification, Idea, Concept Engineering, Design Verification / validation, DFx, VAVE and Cross-functional team experience
3D CAD modelling and detailing engineering – should be able to create 3D modeling and associated 2D manufacturing drawings with GD&T.
Adherence to CAD standards – ISO, DIN, ANSI, experience in MBD will be an added advantage
Knowledgeable in selection of Electromechanical OEM parts (sprockets, belts, etc.)
Exposure to machine building, installation and commissioning will be an added advantage
Mandatory Skills:

Proficiency with Mechanical functions and principles
Followed NPD/VAVE/Engineering process
Experience in Design for Excellence (DFx)
Familiarities with Electrical / Controls / Pneumatics and hydraulics basics
3D CAD software proficiencySolidWorks (Must) / Creo (added advantage) / Inventor (added advantage)
Project Management – scope definition / Project estimation / Project reporting
Ability to work independently
Global travel as needed
MS Office applications (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
