Engages in architectural design of modules corresponds to EAS products which broadly includes System-level design, HLDs, Test strategy – Automation & Manual, Security considerations.
Responsible for quality adherance of the EAS product
Requirement and design validation for ensuring seamless incremental releases.
Mentor team members for expediting issue resolution from QA & Fields.
SPOC for interacting with Chief architect, marketing, sales and US developers on feature integration and changes.
Actively participate in all backlog grooming & Sprint planning excercise (Local & Global)
Qualifications
Bachelors in computer science / electronics/ E&TC/ Instrumentation engineering
14+ Years of Experience in SW architecture design on different Embedded Platform used across different Domains.
Should have minimum 2 different domain experiences. (1 Industrial Domain is must)”
Overall Experience – Should have a proven track record of designing & developing full End-to-End Systems.Programming Languages – Should have expert-level knowledge on Embedded C, C++11/14, C#, Python, Shell Scripts & SQL. Basic knowledge on other high-level languages like – Java.
Embedded HW System design – Must have good understanding on Analog, Digital, Wireless & Power Electronics
System Engineering – Must know the system engineering tool usage to provide traceability with overall system engineering requirements and validations. Deep familarity with UML designs for collaborating with stakeholders, internal team & field Engineers.
Design Thinking – Should able to elaborate Design Thinking approaches for designing system/module
OS Concepts – Must have deep understanding on multithreading environment deployed on RTOS & Linux based platform (BSP board bringup, Kernel customization, filesystem, Memory profiling Tools, Performance monitoring Tools etc.)
Protocol understanding
Must be conversant on all primal protocols needed for setting up communication including high-end protocols like – TCPIP, LoRA, BLE, RF-Mesh, PLC, Cellular
Must be conversant with Application-Level protocol like : DNP3, SEL, Modbus, IEC 61850, IEC 60870-5-101/103/104, LWIP, M2MProcess understanding : Must have good knowledge on Product development Life Cycle, Agile methodology, Versioning Control & Automation
Tools Knowledge : Version Control, LabView, Unit Test Framework, Test Equipment (Oscilloscope, DMM, Chroma, Omicron), Protocol analyzer, ASE2000/Ethereal, Test tool Debugger & Simulator, DOORS, IDEs
Testing Acumen – Unit Testing, System integration Testing, Test plan creation.
Cybersecurity – Fair understanding of cyber security threat and resolution concepts for substation and Power system in general. Should have participated in NARC/UL Certification, Awareness with Secure coding standards. (Good to Have)
Digitalization Concepts – Basic understanding on Analytics, Cloud & Edge Intelligence (Good to Have)
Good communication skills in English (verbal and written) to communicate information effectively to customers, and technical staff
