We are looking for a DESIGN ENGINEER to be based at our TESCOM facility in Elk River, Minnesota who will be responsible for design and implementation of product improvements and cost reduction projects.

AS A DESIGN ENGINEER, YOU WILL:

Provide technical product design support to Engineering, Operations, Suppliers, Customers and Sales.
Assist application engineering in areas of material selection, temperature/pressure limits, etc.
Evaluate special order detail requests with customer service and sales support.
Complete design and implementation of new products, special orders, special drawings, product improvements and extensions.
Evaluate applicable standards and complete necessary applications for certification.
Performs design calculations, basic finite element and CFD analyses.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

BS Degree in Engineering required
0-3+ years or relevant engineering experience
High mechanical aptitude
Knowledge in material sciences and application
Project Management skills
Ability to read drawings and communicate drawing changes
Customer service oriented with good written and verbal skills to facilitate effective communication of technical ideas
Interpersonal skills to allow one to work with a wide range of people at all levels
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to travel domestically and internationally of the time
Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

BS in Mechanical Engineering desired.
2+ years of relevant experience (pressurized equipment, regulator, valves etc.)
Experience with 3D models and 2D CAD drawings, NX/AutoCad preferences.
Flexible Work Schedule – Hybrid Work Option
