Perform CFD Flow and Thermal analysis and provide technical insights to enable designing components/ sub system. Evaluate component / sub system flow and thermal performance using CFD tools pertaining to major home appliances of GE Appliances a Haier company. Contribute to design-impact, identify improvement opportunities / risks, and propose solutions for GEA and Group Companies.

HOW YOU’LL CREATE POSSIBILITIES
Conduct CFD analysis on GE Appliances products with a well-coordinated team of designers, CFD experts
Evaluate component/ sub system design, establish a baseline and provide design guidance
Geometry clean-up, extraction of required cfd volumes, pre and post processing, results reporting, discussions with designers and CFD experts
Document the analysis approach.
Learn new tools, methodologies, and upgrade analysis approach
Validation of test data with cfd results and methodology improvements
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO OUR TEAM
Overall experience of 4–8 years within CFD domain
Experience with CFD tools such as Star-CCM, Ansys Fluent and Ansys Spaceclaim (Star-CCM is preferred and used in GE Appliances)
Must have hands on experience in pre-processing, Geometry clean-up (using Ansys Space Claim or CREO), post processing, reporting and discussing results with designer
Must have strong exposure in at least 1 of the below areas including analysis, design recommendations, design improvements
1. Air flow/ Fluid Flow (Fans, nozzles, spray arms)
2. Thermal (Thermal distribution, CHT, Radiation)
3. Combustion (appliances burners, automotive)
Experience in product domain & knowledge in industry close to Appliances will be an added advantage.
Master’s degree from a leading institution in Mechanical with elective/specialization in thermal, Fluid Mechanics
Hands on experience using CFD software (preferred Star CCM), Ansys Space Claim or equivalent for geometry preparation/ volume extraction
Knowledge on using Creo for geometry modifications
Knowledge in Python/ R / scripting would be a valuable plus
Skills & Attributes:
Able to work independently and with team as needed with limited guidance and under tight timelines
Demonstration of flexibility to accommodate changing business priorities
Excellent analytical, presentation, verbal and written communication skills
