Polar Racking is currently looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer for our Hyderabad office.

 

Responsibilities

 

Create assembly, sub-assembly, detail, and material drawings using Solidworks
Perform any required engineering calculations pertaining to the design using FEA software
Establish and maintain project plans including defining project scope, identifying risks, and setting milestones, as well as be responsible for project execution
Produce CAD drawings and layouts for proposals and construction plan sets.
Oversee the project life-cycle by managing all elements of design and fabrication of products, ensuring project budget is met
Ensure client expectations are met
Coordinate with Director of Engineering to release materials for production
Maintain project information and status tracking systems on a daily basis (ProWorkFlow, MS Project etc.)
Support and take initiative on continuous improvement programs throughout the organization
Clear communication with internal stakeholders, vendors and customers on project status and deliverables
Coordinate on-site inspection and troubleshooting
Dynamic personality with an ability to think outside of the box, make calculated risks, and follow a project from conception to completion
Ensure delivery of quality products to clients
Provide expert advice on project development processes and/or construction methods
 

Requirements

 

4 – 6 years of experience in Design engineering
Post-secondary education in mechanical/structural engineering
Strong CAD design and drafting skills using Solidworks with parametric construction
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Project, Excel and PowerPoint)
Experience in the solar or building/construction products industry preferred.
Strong familiarity with manufacturing technologies including stamping, rolling, and welding
Exceptional ability in creating engineering drawings, Bill of Materials, managing revisions and release of drawings
Experienced in FEA analysis in solid works
Experienced in performing tolerance Stack-up
Experienced in performing kinematic study
Experienced in evaluating dimensional deviations and communicate solutions with suppliers
Strong organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal English writing skills
Enjoys hands-on work through professional or personal projects (power tools, shop tools, carpentry)
Self-starter, able to work with minimal direction and ability to work in an interactive team atmosphere
Highly motivated and enthusiastic with a strong desire to succeed
