Cables CAD is responsible for modelling of all Cables and harness for Wind Turbine and detailing using Cero Parametric software. This includes the proper routing of cables for all sensors , power convertor, aux power control cabinets etc..
We are a team of around 80+ engineers spread between UK, Denmark & India working in a highly innovative technology-centric and process motivated environment.

 

Responsibilities

Working very close with all turbine systems design team for feasibility, routing and design of various cables
Skilled hands on experience in Creo – cabling module , creation of harness design and deep understanding of what works in the manufacturing environment
Responsible for making a feasibility study of cable paths in wind turbine
Responsible for making a modular design
Responsible for delivering a feasible solution in cables with respect to Sourcing and production perspective
Responsible for ensuring Quality of Deliverables on Time in alignment with the Vestas process
Align with System Cad Leads and Tech leads on regular basis to understand the Scope of Work
Responsible for Estimate of  hours and plan the delivery timelines for execution of tasks related to Cables
Should be motivated and focused in coming up with new ideas to improve the existing process
Experience in making Cost benefit studies and business case calculations

 

Qualifications

Bachelor’s/ Master’s Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Similar Engineering
Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience in cable design in an wind turbine /switchgear / transformer / transportation industry
Hands on Experience in Creo – Cabling module
Hands on Experience in Creation of Harness Designs Using Creo
Hands on Experience in Creation of Cable layouts
Hands on Experience in Creating the 2D cable drawings

Competencies

Experience with Windchill Product Data Management (PDM) software
Knowledge on Cable types and Standards used across Globe
Knowledge on accessories used for Cables
Knowledge on Connector types, Glands types and methodology to select them
Hands on Reading and creating Electrical Diagrams
Knowledge on Creo Part modelling – Sheet metal
Basic Knowledge on Cabinet design
Experience in Feasibility study on different cables paths
Experience in Working with Wind Domain is an added advantage
