3D Printing is widely used in different platforms from manufacturing mechanical components to printing bio cells, from printing food to printing fabrics.

It can be observed that many of the items that we use in our day to day life are 3d printed or can be printed.

The most common application of this process is to print small and detailed parts like gears, automobile parts, nozzles, diffusers, etc. easily.

3D printing is widely used in biomedical technology to manufacture prosthetics, or implants that meet the requirements of specific patients.

Organs like kidneys, bones, cartilages are printed using biocompatible materials. In the pharmaceutical industry, tablets are also printed 3D printing is used in the fashion industry to make custom-fit outfits and even jewelry.

This technology is widely used even in the space industry where spare parts stock and on-demand tools are 3D printed. Recently NASA helped astronauts in the International Space Station to print out handy tools and other essential objects using 3D printing.

Nowadays 3D printing food has also become a reality where the nozzle is feed with chocolate, dough and other eatable items instead of plastic filament.

Many pastry chefs are using 3d printers to make desserts that look breathtakingly delicious. 3D printing in construction is a new development that is used to build economical houses and even river revetment function.

We can use scanners, to 3D print the replica of objects that we already have.

Moreover, 3D printing can be used to manufacture any desired object according to the required specifications and usage.

This way we can print any object according to our requirements and analyzing different models will also become easier and cost-efficient.

In this world full of new developments and advancements in technology, the one thing that people worry most about is health.

3D printing is not just restricted to manufacturing mechanical components but is now being used even in the field of medicine to increase the life span of a person so that we can live a healthy life.

3D printing is widely being used in health education, biomedical technology to manufacture prosthetics, or implants that meet the requirements of specific patients.

Organs like kidneys, bones, cartilages are printed using biocompatible materials.

Since not all materials are biocompatible we have to be selective in choosing the materials for bioprinting since one mistake can cause irreparable damage to the patient.

Bio-ink made up of layers of living tissues are used as material for the 3D printers.

The biomaterials used should not disturb the hemostasis and should either perform the function of the replaced organ or otherwise support the functioning of the damaged organ without causing any further issues.

3D printing enables the creation of patient-specific organ replicas for medical practices.

Custom made prosthetics can be developed so that each patient’s problem can be treated accordingly. In the pharmaceutical industry, tablets are also now being 3D printed.
