Material Science in Simple words

Material Science is a branch of engineering which deals mainly with the composition of a material, metals, or composites.

Now starting from the composition of atoms in a unit cell to a heavy steel rod, material science deals with all.

Now going forward, material science also deals with the strength of materials whether they can bear that is the fatigue and the creep test.

every material seems inevitable but has an ultimate strength beyond which it can be broken, i.e. the Fracture point.

Material science deals with the breaking stress and the ultimate strength of the materials such as the Izod and Charpy tests.

It also deals with composite materials like ceramics and plastics.

Ceramics are the nonmetallic, inorganic amorphous solids. Materials have to made from different types of Heat treatment which involves Heating the materials above the recrystallization temperature (also known as Hot-working ) or below ( also known as cold working ).

What is Heat treatment ?

The answer is It is a process of heating of metal followed by cooling to change its internal properties

Now after the materials are made we have to test its strength by hardness tests such as Rockwell and Brunel hardness test.

Mechanical properties such as hardness, toughness, fatigue, and creep are greatly influenced by Heat Treatment.

Bonus question — Experiment suggests that electron takes only 10 raised to the power minus 8 sec ( (10)^-8)… to collide into the nucleus. It means matter should not exist nor either you or me. Then how we exist and above all How does an electron gains energy to revolve around the nucleus while continuously radiating it ??
